Winter Quarter 2021 runs Jan. 4–March 26. Registration begins Nov. 16.

Oct. 1, 2020: Apply for admission if you are a new student to Foothill College or a returning former student.
Oct. 31, 2020: Last day for international students to apply.

Course Registration Dates Based on Priority Enrollment
NEW STUDENTS: All steps must have been completed to receive priority registration for Winter Quarter.
CONTINUING STUDENTS: You must have enrolled during Fall Quarter to qualify for the best date for Winter Quarter.
In accordance with new state and local regulations, students will be assigned registration dates in the following order.
Priority registration is set up for First-Time college students with a goal of obtaining their first degree or certificate. You will not be able to receive priority higher than Group 6 if you've previously attended college or a university and/or received a degree.
Note: You may register from your start date through Jan. 3.
|Nov. 16–Jan. 3: Veterans, Foster Youth, DSPS, EOPS and CalWorks students who have completed orientation, assessment and an educational plan; have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and have declared an academic major. *exceptions apply*|
|Nov. 18–Jan. 3: Athletes who have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and have declared an academic major and have an updated education plan.|
|Nov. 19–Jan. 3: Continuing who have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; updated education plan and have declared an academic major.|
|Nov. 20–Jan. 3: New, fully matriculated college students who have completed orientation, assessment and an educational plan; selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and declared an academic major.|
|Nov. 23–Jan. 3: New, non-matriculated students who have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and declared an academic major BUT have not completed assessment, orientation or an educational plan.|
|Nov. 24–Jan. 3: Transfer students (from any other college) and returning students (who have completed at least one term at Foothill College) who have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and declared an academic major.|
|Nov. 25–Jan. 3: All other college students, including continuing students who have not declared a major or who have not selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate who have completed over 100 degree-applicable units, student who holds a degree, had two terms on academic probation.|
|Nov. 30–Jan. 3: Dually-enrolled high school students who are freshman, sophomores, juniors or seniors or meet other criteria to attend Foothill College.|
Paying Your Fees
Drop for nonpayment on cumulative fee balances of $250 or more will take place by END of day on Wednesday, Dec. 9.
- You can add a class with an instructor's add code/permission during the first two weeks of the quarter only.
- When you add classes, you must pay all fees at the time of registration.
- You will not be permitted to submit add codes after the end of the second week. Plan accordingly.

- Please View Your Class Schedule inside MyPortal for add/drop deadlines for your non-standard length classes.
- All deadlines are enforced.
|Monday, Jan. 4: First day of Winter Quarter 2021|
|Friday, Jan. 15: Last day to add 12-week, quarter-length classes. Add date is enforced.|
|Sunday, Jan. 17: Last day to drop for a full refund or credit (for 12-weeks, quarter-length classes). Last day to drop for a refund/credit for all other classes is listed inside MyPortal, on the Students Tab under 'View Your Class Schedule. Drop date is enforced.|
|Sunday, Jan. 17: Last day to drop 12-week, quarter-length classes with no record of grade. Drop date is enforced.|
|Monday, Jan 18: Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday (college closed)|
|Friday, Jan. 29: NOTE: This deadline has been updated. Last day to request pass/no pass grade has been removed for winter 2021. You can request a P/NP grade through the completion of the course. You may complete the request using the Pass/No Pass Form. Once the request is made, you cannot revert to a letter grade. We highly recommend you speak with a counselor before making the change to P/NP.|
|Friday-Monday, Feb 12-15: Observance of Presidents Day Weekend (college closed)|
|Friday, Feb. 26: NOTE: This deadline has been updated. You can request an Excused Withdrawal for the current quarter through the completion of the course or retroactively for fall 2020 by completing the Petition for the Exception of Registration Policies. On the Petition, please include details as to how COVID has impacted your learning and include course details.|
|March 1: Last day to petition for Winter associate degree or certificate.|
|March 1: Last day to petition for a Spring associate degree for transfer (ADT).|
|Monday-Friday, March 22-26: Final exams|
|Friday, March 26: Last day of Winter Quarter|
|Monday, April 5: View winter grades in MyPortal|
|Monday, April 5: First day of Spring Quarter 2021|
