Great Opportunities for Incoming College Freshman & High School Students

Taking classes at Foothill College is a great way to get ahead! You can earn credit while still in high school. Students currently enrolled in high school (junior or senior) may earn up 10 units per quarter. *

Application Process

  1. Complete the Foothill College Application for Admission online https://registration.fhda.edu/prod/web/default.jsp.
  2. Print and keep Retain This Page form with the date and time to register.
  3. Get Permission Form signed: Permission of parent/guardian and principal required for high school juniors and seniors.
  4. Take placement tests: required for English and math classes.
  5. Review the Recommended Courses for for high school juniors and seniors. For complete online schedule of classes visit www.foothill.edu/schedule/.
  6. Checklist for New Students – Summer/Fall 2008

* High school students may not enroll in any course that is currently offered at their school site. Current high school students may not enroll in Physical Education classes.

Orientation for new students to learn more about college from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free.

Parent Orientation
Sept. 17, 2008, Appreciation Hall
An evening event for parents to get full understanding of the college experience. This section is also available in Spanish. Meets from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Admission is free

New Student Information Sessions
An hour-long information session to help new students learn about applying and registering for classes, campus resources and student support services.
