Professional Learning

A Program with a Purpose

The Professional Learning program at Foothill is a top college priority.  We are facing so many challenges with student equity, technology, accreditation,  Generation Z students, returning veterans, and more, and we believe it is important to provide ongoing learning opportunities and resources to support Foothill faculty and staff to effectively support student learning.

The program a robust calendar of locally-developed workshops and events, and includes funds for conference travel and participation - all designed to support the continuous development of knowledge and skills for the Foothill campus community. Our programs are open to all FHDA district employees.

Whether you are teaching on campus, hybrid, or fully online, two years of COVID have impacted you and your students. This summer, Online Learning's PD offerings will focus on what we've learned from the last two years, leveraging these "lessons" to improve teaching and learning using digital tools.

We invite you to sign up to participate in a summer learning community, or drop into one of our many scheduled workshops - we have almost 40 to choose from!
