Lecture: The Jewish Stereotype in American Satire Cartoons

Daniel Plaskowski will discuss the representation of Jews in American pop culture cartoons from then to now.

Tu Bishvat Celebration

Tu Bishvat is the jewish New Year for trees. Join us for a giving back to the eart ceremony. We will be visiting the oak tree that was planted last year.

Foothill College English Instructor Bryan Hoffer will speak about profiling modern Jewish comedians of the 20th and 21st century from Lenny Bruce to Sarah Silverman.

Lecture: History of Antisemitism in American Literature

Classroom (5702) across from Veterans Center; 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Foothill College English Instructor Dr. Scott Lankford will speak about the long and daunting history of Antisemitism in American literature including such beloved classics as Uncle Tom’s Cabin and The Great Gatsby.

Krav Maga: Self-Defense Demonstration

Instructor Omer Katz will be teaching a class on how to defend yourself using the Israeli martial art of Krav Maga.
