PaRC Update

Below is a summary of the action and information items from the most recent Planning and Resource Council (PaRC) meetings. For complete minutes and first-reads, please visit the PaRC website.

BUDGET UPDATES
At the April 18 meeting, Vice President of Finance Bret Watson went through a first read of the budget presentation, which was also shown at the April 19 Town Hall. Due to a projected decline in FTES, the District recommends an additional reduction of $5.3M for 2019-20, for a total of $15.3M. Foothill's share of the reduction is now $5.355M (originally $3.5M). The budget estimates were based on enrollment projections and financial conditions that are constantly shifting and are subject to change.

An updated presentation with additional information was given to PaRC for a second read at the April 25 meeting. Both presentations are available on the PaRC website

The most recent budget updates can also be found on the website. The online feedback form is still open.

New Vending Machines

In response to requests for healthier food choices and to eliminate the sale of bottled water on campus, we will switch our existing vending machines for new ones. Vend Natural will be our new supplier. The offerings will change over time, based on customer preferences.
Due to the cost of the new machines, not all current locations will have replacements. Vending machines can still be found adjacent to Buildings 5000, 8000 (between Admissions & Records and Lohman Theatre), adjacent to the Owl Center, outside of B3600 (new location) and at the Sunnyvale Center on the first and second floors. We will update campus maps with the new locations. Vending machines will no longer be in the Campus Center breezeway.
The new machines will accept credit cards, Paypal, Apple Pay, and of course, cash!
