ALERT: THIS SHOW CONTAINS AN ABUNDANCE OF RIBALDRY, SILLINESS AND NAUGHTY INNUENDO!

The Story

When an uncouth grocer brings his family and apprentices to the theatre to see a show, the group is collectively disappointed by the tired and uninspiring show being performed that day. As a result, the grocer storms the stage and takes the production the hostage, demanding to see a play featuring his apprentice in the starring role, thereby forcing the host company to try and perform the apprentice's play while continuing to perform their planned show. This delectable mash-up of 17th century nonsense leaves very few targets untouched by its searing satire. Everything from the Don Quixote legend to familiar Bible stories to social class divisions to the theater itself gets burned by this unique, outrageous, slightly bawdy and raucous farce.
