PSEC Open House
Sponsors: Foothill College Topic: The open house will celebrate the new Physical Sciences & Engineering Center (PSEC). It is a LEED Silver Certified facility with unique sustainability features and state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms using integrated instructional technology. The construction was funded by Measure C.
The open house is from 4:30 to 6:30 pm and the program starts at 5 pm and there will be tours and refreshments.

Savoring Science Fund Raising Dinner and Reception
Sponsors: Gilbane-Maas Companies, Ellucian, and the Foothill College Commission Topic: The evening’s program will highlight the strategic approach of Foothill College to recruiting, retaining and inspiring students to major in STEM-related fields.
Silicon Valley’s economy depends on a workforce that is proficient in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Yet there is a major disconnect between the Valley’s workforce needs and the experience that many students have with STEM subjects in school. Silicon Valley employers are rightfully concerned that students are not electing to major in STEM-related fields in sufficient numbers to build and replenish our future workforce.
