Early Alert

What is Early Alert? Early Alert is a support program that assists students by linking them with appropriate resources. Early Alert assists with retention and student success by working with students on an individual basis.

How does Early Alert work? Faculty and staff submit referrals for students who are in need of additional assistance and support to ensure their success. Students are contacted by an Outreach and Retention Specialist who will work with the students on an individual basis.

Faculty and Staff may submit referrals online or via the printed referral form (PDF).

Students who receive referrals should contact their instructor and respond to the e-mails or phone calls from the Outreach and Retention Specialist. For more information about the Early Alert Program, contact Maisha Haywood-Smith at (650) 949-7366 or e-mail haywoodsmithmaisha@foothill.edu.
