Steven Anderson
Steven Anderson (ASFC President)

Hi voters! My name is Steven Anderson and I am serving a second year on ASFC as well as a Senator on the California Student Senate. At Foothill, I have helped many students overcome academic and personal issues and have aided numerous clubs that ran into various difficulties. As a senator, I organized numerous community colleges into one group so that we can all address issues that affect us all. I promise I will devote as much energy and time as President to make sure that costs are lowered as well as increase the amount of activities.

I plan to transfer to Berkeley with Associate degrees in Business Administration and Economics. I have been involved in programs on campus such as Pass The Torch and the Honors Institute and I am currently the Shades of Africa's Event Coordinator. Pratha Sangar
Pratha Sangar (Vice President of Finance)

My name is Pratha Sangar and I am running for VP of Finance. I am a second year student at Foothill College, majoring in corporate finance. In these past years I have taken series of business classes, which has made me aware of the basics of the business world. Now I want to take my classroom experience to the next level by applying what I learned to be part of my college's success. By being a VP of Finance, not only will I add to my learning experience but it will also give me one in a lifetime opportunity to work with the ASFC finance board. This past year I was finance director for the Organization Boards of Directors, from which I learned about different funds and accounts that are devoted towards student services, and college use. I understand that one of the main responsibilities of this position is to become a student body voice to decide whether the funds should be allocated to a project. The knowledge and experience that I have acquired from being the president of Indian club has helped me improve my leadership skills which is one of the things that qualifies me for this position.

In my first year of study in Foothill, I was the vice-chair of OBD, vice president of Business Club, a member of Pass the Torch, Circle K and ASFC ambassador. I have also been working in Admissions & Records in Foothill. I possess initiative combined with a healthy team spirit. From the experience I gained, I learnt how to coordinate affairs within and between clubs and communicate with others. I hope I can put what I learnt from my experiences in use and continue serving in ASFC. From my work in the A & R of Foothill, I realize the importance of good administration and learn a lot about how a good administration system should be like. I believe I am capable of doing so and I must make my greatest endeavor to strive for excellence if I am elected

Being a past athlete in high school, I understand how important the support for our sport teams is. The best feeling in the world is hearing that crowd when u make the game winning shot or kick the game winning goal.  The motivation a team can receive from their student fans is amazing. I currently work at the YMCA as an Activities Director and All Sports Referee. I'm very familiar with all sports and looking forward to become more involved and supportive with our sports department.
