Description -
Supervised studio practice in design projects.

Course Objectives -
The student will be able to:
  1. discuss the organization of a design using objective criteria.
  2. show an increased sensitivity to visual effects..
  3. familiarity with the design process as a problem-solving activity .
  4. demonstrate a repertoire of techniques and procedures useful in the fabrication of projects in several materials.
Special Facilities and/or Equipment -
30'x36' table space, and stool for each student.

Course Content (Body of knowledge) -
The Design Laboratory is correlated with the course in Design. It provides students with an opportunity to practice in a supervised environment the skills and concepts introduced in the Design course.
Methods of Evaluation -
Evaluation of the student's progress will be based on the development of skills and imaginative ideas and satisfactory completion of laboratory projects.
