1. Description -
Using Swing Solutions video technology, the student will identify and correct individual golf swing flaws and design drills to develop skills to improve golf strokes.
Prerequisite: None
Co-requisite: None
Advisory: This course is included in the Individual Sports Family of activity courses.

2. Course Objectives -
The student will be able to:
  1. identify ball flight laws as they affect swing mechanics and execute drills that will improve swing efficiency
  2. demonstrate the ability to recognize and correct swing faults.
  3. demonstrate with competence, the golf skills necessary to play competitive golf.
  4. demonstrate an improvement in scoring.

Swing Solutions' high tech Digital Video Training system
Driving Range, Golf clubs, balls etc

4. Course Content (Body of knowledge) -
  1. Swing Analysis
    1. Grip, set up, alignment, posture, and ball position
    2. Ball Flight Laws: speed, centerness of contact, path of club head, angle of approach, and club face at impact
    3. Follow through and balanced finish
    4. Tempo, timing and rhythm of swing
  2. Practice sessions
5. Repeatability - Moved to header area.
 
6. Methods of Evaluation -
  1. Physical skills and techniques will be assessed by direct instructor observation
  2. Participation in required practice sessions
  3. Completion of personal golf profile report
