1. Description -
Introduction to the sport of archery. Emphasis will be placed on instinctive shooting, scoring, terminology, safety and etiquette.
Prerequisite: None
Co-requisite: None
Advisory: Not open to students with credit in H P 23A.

2. Course Objectives -
The student will be able to:
  1. review the history of archery.
  2. demonstrate and practice basic target shooting.
  3. understand the basic terminology of archery.
  4. employ safety skills of preparing equipment and shooting.
  5. select proper bow and arrows.
  6. recognize proper etiquette of archery.
  7. value archery as a lifetime recreation or sport activity.

Indoor archery facility, portable targets, arrow back drop net, bows, arrows, tabs, arm guards and bow racks.
