When to Register for Winter Quarter 2015
Register and pay fees via your MyPortal.fhda.edu account. Payment in full is due when you register; you will be dropped for non-payment and your seat will be given to another student.

New & Former Students
Applies to students who were not enrolled at Foothill College during Fall Quarter 2014. You must complete and submit the Application for Admission. Three days after you submit your application online, you're eligible to register via your MyPortal.fhda.edu account. Applications are accepted throughout the registration period. If you are a new student and have not yet completed an associate degree or higher, you are required to enroll in Foothill's one-unit CNSL 5: Introduction to College course. Your fees are due when you register; pay fees online via your MyPortal account. You will be dropped from classes if payment in full is not remitted. High School Students
You may earn college units while you're enrolled in high school. This is called concurrent enrollment. Freshman through seniors who are currently enrolled in high school or an approved home school may earn up to 10 units per quarter (maximum of 6 units during Summer Session) by enrolling in Foothill College courses. Review the application, registration and testing process for high school students. Be aware that high school students must have all required permission forms on file at the Foothill College Admissions & Records Office and any necessary prerequisites cleared by the Foothill College Counseling Office before they will be permitted to register.

Late Registration
Late registration is accepted with instructor's add code/signature during the first two weeks of the quarter only. When you register late, you must pay all fees at the time of registration. You will not be permitted to add classes after the end of the second week. Plan accordingly.

Important Dates & Deadlines (all deadlines are enforced)
Jan. 5 Winter Quarter classes begin. Classes run through March 27 unless otherwise noted in the Schedule of Classes.
Deadline to add/drop a class. Deadline varies for each class. Generally, the deadline is Friday of the second week for 12-week classes (January 18). Verify the exact drop deadlines in your schedule via your MyPortal.fhda.edu account.
Jan. 5 – 16 Late registration accepted with instructor's add code/signature. The deadline to add and submit fees for a 12-week course is tba.
Deadline to qualify for and request refund. Generally, the deadline to drop a 12-week course and qualify for a refund falls within the first two weeks of the term (January 18). However, drop deadlines may vary per class. Verify exact drop deadlines in your schedule via your MyPortal.fhda.edu account and download the Refund Request Form.
Jan. 30 Deadline to submit Pass/No Pass Form. You may complete the form online before the term begins. Once the term begins, you must submit the completed form to the Admissions & Records Office. Download the form via your MyPortal.fhda.edu account.
Deadline to drop a 12-week class with a W. Deadline varies for each class. Generally, the deadline is Friday of the eighth week for 12-week classes (Feb. 27). Verify exact drop deadlines in your schedule via your MyPortal.fhda.edu account.
March 24 – 27 FINAL EXAMS.
March 30 – April 3 Spring Recess
