The latest version of Internet Explorer (Win and Mac) is highly recommended to use the Foothill/De Anza registration system.
Earlier version browser versions will not work with our registration system. You will need to update your browser to use the registration system.

These instructions cover the major browsers for the most used computer systems. If your browser isn't listed here, use the "Help" menu in your browser.

Before changing any of your preferences, you may want to take note of your current settings. This will enable you to return to your orignial settings after using the registration system.
Instructions
IE 6.0 Win2000 (instructions same for WinXP):
- From main menu: Tools > Internet Options
- Select Security tab in the Internet Options window.
- Click the "Custom Level" button.
- From the drop down menu in the Security Settings window, select "Medium", then click the "Reset" button.
- Click "Yes" on the pop-up message.
- Go to the Privacy tab.
- Use the selector to choose "Medium High" or "Medium."
- Click "Apply."
- Click "OK."
- Close and restart IE.

IE 5.1 Mac OS 9.2:
- From the main menu: Edit > Preferences
- From the left window with options under Web Browser , select "Web Content."
- Check "Enable scripting" under Active Content .
- Go to the option Java in the left window.
- Check "Enable Java" under Java Options .
- Under Receiving Files in the left window, select Cookies .
- Under the pull down menu When receiving cookies: make sure that "Never Accept" is NOT SELECTED.
- Click "OK."
- Close and restart IE.

Netscape 6.1 Win2000 (instructions same for WinXP) and Mac OS 9.2:
*Note: Netscape 6.1 will technically work, but upgrading to Netscape 7.0 is highly recommended, if using Netscape.
- From the main menu: Edit > Preferences
- From the left window with options, click the arrow next to Privacy and Security.
- Select Cookies .
- Check either "Enable cookies for the originating web site only" or "Enable all cookies."
- From the left window with options, click the option Advanced.
- Check the boxes next to: "Enable Java" and "Enable JavaScript for Navigator."
- Click "OK."
- Close and restart Netscape.

- From the main menu: Edit > Preferences
- From the left window with options, click the arrow next to Privacy and Security.
- Select Cookies.
- Check either "Enable cookies for the originating web site only" or "Enable all cookies."
- From the left window with options, click the option Advanced.
- Check the box next to: "Enable Java."
- Click the arrow next to Advanced.
- Select Scripts & Plugins.
- Check the box next to: "Navigator" under the Enable JavaScript for.
- Check the box next to: "Open a link in a new window (requires restarting Netscape)" and "Read cookies" under the Allow webpages to: .
- Click "OK."
- Close and restart Netscape.

- From the main menu: Netscape > Preferences
- From the left window with options, click the arrow next to Privacy and Security .
- Select Cookies.
- Make sure that "Disable Cookies" is not selected, any other selection should be fine.
- From the left window with options, select Pop-up windows from the left hand window.
- Select "Allow popups."
- From the left window with options, click the option Advanced .
- Check the box next to: "Enable Java."
- Click the arrow next to Advanced.
- Select Scripts & Plugins.
- Check the box next to: "Navigator" under the section Enable JavaScript.
- Check the box next to: "Navigator", "Open a link in a new window (requires restarting Netscape)", and "Read cookies" under the Allow webpages to: section (selecting all would be fine, as well).
- Click 'OK'.
- Close and restart Netscape.
