Enterprise Networking (2008-2009)Upon completion of the required courses, the student is prepared to design, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot networks of all sizes. Skills gained include specification preparation, network management, network design, equipment and system sales, and software development. Laboratory courses provide students with hands-on experience to demonstrate the principles of enterprise networking. Courses provide learning opportunities for students new to the field, as well as, those who are experienced professionals. Specialized courses are also available to help the student prepare for Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP) Server Administrator and Enterprise Administrator certification exams. Units required for Major: 55Units required for Certificate: 15-25 Associate Degree Requirements: The Associate in Science degree in Enterprise Networking requires the following: Program Type(s):• English proficiency: ENGL 1A, ESL 26, or equivalent. • Mathematics proficiency: MATH 103/105 or equivalent.
