DEVELOP YOUR LIBRARY SKILLS
To help you to develop your library skills, the Foothill College Library offers two individual studies classes: Principles of Library Research (LIBR 1 3 units) and Introduction to Library Skills (LIBR 50 1 unit). These classes are designed to help you become familiar with the resources the library has to offer. The skills you learn will help you in your classes both at Foothill and beyond.
Need to write a research paper in one of your classes? In Research Paper Search Strategies (LIBR 71 1 unit), an instructor, who is also a librarian, will guide you through every phase of the research process, from defining a topic to finding quality information to writing a Works Cited page.
For more information about these classes, please contact Charlotte Thunen at (650) 949-7559 or one of our reference librarians at (650) 949-7608.
