Drag Contest
This year’s
gender-bending extravaganza will feature Foothill students and
employees, amateurs, and male and female impersonators (drag kings
and drag queens) competing for prizes. If you’ve only seen drag
performers in hit films such as Priscilla Queen of the Desert,
To Wong Foo, Torch Song Trilogy or The Birdcage, this
is your change to experience these fabulous students and employees in
person.

Be a part
Foothill’s first Summer Gay Day, a celebration of diversity
under the summer sun.
Straight/Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgendered/Queer/Questioning/Everybody
is invited to the party. The event also features music entertainment
by Foothill DJs spinning and mixing tracks from various genres of
music. We’ll participate in holding hands with our same-sex
friends as we join the rainbow circle. Enjoy the sun, dance and
embrace diversity!

Liberation in Israel vs. American Counterpart
Keynote speaker Avner
Even-Zohar, director of the Israel Center’s Campus Division and
Tzavta Program, is a native born Israeli and served six years in the
Israeli army as an education officer. Join us for discussion of the
GLBT Liberation in Israel and how it compares to its American
counterpart. A reception follows the presentation. Event co-sponsor
by Jews, Israelis & Friends at Foothill.
