Foothill College Fall Quarter 2014 classes begin the week of Sept. 22 and continue through Dec. 12 unless otherwise noted in the searchable class schedule. California residents pay $31 per unit plus basic fees for Foothill classes; fees are due at the time you register. Review more important registration dates and deadlines.
New State Laws Change Priority Registration: New state laws now define enrollment priorities at all California community colleges, and may affect when you can register for classes. Effective Fall 2014, new, fully matriculated* students who have completed college orientation and assessment, and have filed an official education plan, as well as continuing students in good academic standing who have not exceeded 100 units (not including basic English, math or English as a second language) now receive registration priority over students who do not meet these criteria. Schedule a counseling appointment for an educational plan, or university transfer, career and personal counseling.
This new state mandate, called the Student Success & Support Program (3SP) that is part of the Student Success Act of 2012, ensures that classes are available for students who are pursuing job training, completing the associate degree and/or preparing for university transfer, and rewards students who make progress toward their educational goals. The new laws and 3SP are the legislative cornerstone of a California Community Colleges reform initiative to improve educational outcomes for students and better prepare the workforce needed for California’s economy. The legislation, SB 1456, ushers in some of the most significant improvements to the state's community college system in more than a decade.

You will be dropped for nonpayment unless you have either a Quarterly Payment Plan in place or your fees are paid in full. When you are dropped for nonpayment, your seat will be given to another student. To pay fees or sign up for the college's payment installment plan, access your MyPortal.fhda.edu account.
You're Responsible for Dropping Your Classes: If you choose not to attend your class(es), you are responsible for initiating the official drop process.
