The on-campus Foothill College Health Services Office will offer free rapid HIV testing and counseling to Foothill students. Testing and counseling are confidential. Health services are available to  current Foothill students and to Foothill faculty and staff only. Please bring your OwlCard with a current quarter sticker or a faculty/staff ID card. To schedule an appointment, visit Room 2126 or call (650) 949-7243. The center teams up with Planned Parenthood to provide this service.

Why HIV Testing Is Important

  • More than 1 million men, women and children in the U.S. are living with HIV infection; of those, one in five does not know he/she is infected.

  • Learning your HIV infection status is an important part of prevention. Studies show that people who know they are infected are far less likely to have unprotected sex than those who do not know.

  • Early diagnosis of HIV infection and linkage to care enable people to start treatment sooner, leading to better health outcomes and longer lives.
