Foothill's Ceramics Claybodies Club presents the Student Holiday Pottery Sale Dec. 1–3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in César Chávez Plaza, adjacent to the Campus Center. Admission is free; parking is $3.
Students will be selling handmade ceramic functional ware and sculpture that they created in Foothill classes. Items for sale include bowls, vases, hand-built figures and more. Cash, checks or money orders accepted; credit/debit cards not accepted. Proceeds from each sale benefit the college's ceramics department.
The Foothill ceramics program offers courses from the introductory level to technically challenging areas such as glaze calculation, mold making and raku. Prominent ceramic artists are invited to give workshops, which attract ceramic artists from the region, as well as students from other colleges.
