Students Organize Japanese Disaster Relief Fundraisers

Foothill College students, faculty and staff are teaming up to raise money, donations and hope for those affected by the earthquake in Japan. A variety of events are currently being planned, and more information will be announced soon.
- Visit the Bookstore to make a monetary donation to the Red Cross.
- Visit the bookstore to record a video message of hope, which will be sent friends of Foothill in Japan.
- Purchase your tickets for the dinner and theatre performance fundraiser April 21. Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month presents Barber, an original student production featuring Foothill College students, faculty and staff. Barber focuses on the main character, Kamiyui-Dokoro, a barber working in the Edo Period and the last years of traditional Japanese culture. The show features opening Taiko performances by the Foothill College Asian Pacific American Network (APAN). Barber is directed by Yusuke Soi, co-written by Ryan Pun and Chris Custer, and produced by Tristan Paule and the Foothill College Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month Planning Committee. Co-sponsored by The Foothill College A Theater Arts Club (ATAC). The curtain goes up at 7 p.m. in the Lohman Theatre. Free show admission; donations accepted. All proceeds will be used for earthquake and tsunami disaster relief and be given to the Japanese Red Cross.
