The award-winning GRDS 62: Creative Typography course is a fun introduction to type fonts for the novice or experienced graphic design student. The four-unit class features dynamic hands-on tutorials, creative exercises and portfolio-quality projects. In addition to examining type styles, history and letter shapes, you will learn to improve font designs for Web sites, desktop publishing, videos and more through font selection, readability, layout and use of color.

New Design Concepts for Your Web Site
Learn new concepts for spicing up your Web sites by adding images, animation and multimedia. The four-unit GRDS 94: Web Site Design class is a fun introduction to Web site and interactive digital design for the novice or experienced computer graphics student. In addition to designing portfolio-quality Web sites for the final project, you will learn to use your computer to design professional-quality Web sites and other interactive digital designs. Graphic elements emphasized include color, layout, typography, and interface and navigation elements.

Examine the Art Form of Photography
The history of photography is the history of the 19th, 20th and 21th centuries. Learn about this important art form by enrolling in the four-unit PHOT 10: History of Photography course. Coursework emphasizes the role of photographs as a social and cultural force in our artistic heritage from the daguerreotype to the magic of modern digital imaging.
