Foothill College student Ericka Silva, says she owes a debt of gratitude to a Los Altos couple whom she will never meet.
Though now deceased, Lola and Steve Kaider had the vision to provide scholarships for students who want a rewarding career in health care.
Silva, who is completing the nationally recognized Foothill Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound) Program, was recently named recipient of the Kaider Scholarship Presidents Award, which includes a $5,000 stipend. Travel Destination Specialist Series: Alaska
In addition to offering an associate degree, the Foothill College Travel Careers Program will offer a Saturday destination specialist seminar that spotlights travel opportunities in Alaska. The course is ideal for industry professionals as well as travel enthusiasts.

Earn a California Child Development Teacher's Permit
As part of the states Child Development Training Consortium, Foothill College offers you the opportunity to earn a California Child Development Teachers Permit at an affordable cost.
Child development courses offered this spring at Foothills Middlefield Campus in Palo Alto include behavior and development of the school-age child; observation techniques; literacy and literature in preschool education; curriculum for the preschool classroom; and administrative supervision.
