Learn to set up your own blog and begin communicating the ideas and interests that are important to you by enrolling in Foothills five-unit COIN 63: Advanced Topics in Web Publishing course.
Youll learn how to use advanced Web technologies like JavaScript, CGI and cascading style sheets to create exciting content. No computer programming knowledge is required. Some HTML experience is helpful.

New Enterprise Network Associate Degree
Foothill College will debut its new Associate in Science Degree in Enterprise Networking when Spring Quarter classes get under way April 5. The new 90-unit enterprise networking degree includes coursework in all of the academy certificate programs Foothill currently offers, including Cisco (CCNA and CCNP), Microsoft (MCSE and MCSA), A+ and UNIX.
Whether youre employed by a company or work as an independent contractor, you must have experience in each of these specialty environments to compete in the high-tech job market.
Foothills high-tech academies combine lectures, lab assignments for hands-on experience, online testing and evaluation, and a Web-based curriculum. You can complete the enterprise networking degree requirements in approximately 24 months. Taken individually, the CCNA, CCNP, MCSA and A+ academies can be completed in nine months. MCSE requires an additional six months of study.

Motion Graphics: A Must for Professional Designers
Learn how to maximize graphics software to create video effects, animation, and anything that moves in the digital video world by enrolling in the four-unit GRDS 87: Motion Graphics course. Youll learn to use the Adobe After Effects application for broadcast design, film, Web video and other media.
This class is ideal for anyone who wants to make exciting moving images on the computer, says Foothill New Media Instructor Carolyn Brown.
The course is also a must for working professionals who want to improve their skills set. The decline of the dot-com industry means that computer artists must be able to create more than a Web page in order to attract clients or find employment, Brown says.
