Convenient Course Videotapes Now Available for Rental
Transform your television into a classroom and earn college credit by enrolling in Foothills ANTH 2B: Patterns of Culture course. For the first time, students can now rent the complete program video series for $40less than the cost of a textbook.

Learn by watching an exciting video series at your own pace at a time that is most convenient for you. All coursework, including the mid-term and final exam is completed in your home.
"In addition to examining their own individual and group culture, students will be able to examine other cultures, including Micronesias Kulu who navigate thousands of miles without a compass, New Guinea tribesmen who leap from 40-foot towers tethered only by jungle vines to complete rites of passage and other fascinating aspects of world culture," says Foothill Anthropology Instructor Elyse Barnett.

Foothill Alum is Internationally Acclaimed Pianist
Foothill College alumnus Jon Nakamatsu, winner of the 1997 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, will perform a recital to benefit Foothill College Sunday, June 25, at 3:30 p.m. in the Smithwick Theater at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills.
General admission tickets are $50. A limited number of Gold Circle tickets at $100 per person include preferred seating and parking along with a special post-recital reception with Nakamatsu.
Currently on tour, Nakamatsu has received rave reviews from critics throughout the United States and Europe. His concert tour included debut performances in New York Citys Carnegie Hall, Washington, D.C.s John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as well as Boston, Chicago, London, Paris and Milan. Critics have praised his recent performances of Haydns Sonata No. 33 in C minor; Chopin grouping of the F-minor Fantasy, op. 49; Three Mazurkas, op. 59 and the C-sharp minor Scherzo, op. 39; Tchaikovskys Theme and Variations; and Rachmaninoffs Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor.
