Foothill also offers a full complement of student support services, including financial aid, tutoring, academic counseling, disability support services and other services.
Foothill also offers innovative support programs such as the Pass the Torch and Puente programs. Both programs are open to all interested students. Pass the Torch pairs high achieving students with students who self-select to join a study team. Each team consists of a team leader and a team member. The leader has completed the course with an A grade, and the member is currently enrolled in the course. In the Puente Program, students receive intensive English instruction, counseling and mentoring. Puente endeavors to increase the number of educationally underserved students who enroll in four-year colleges and universities, earn degrees, and return to the community as leaders and mentors to future generations.
