New Online Course
Redefining Retirement.

Retirement no longer means slowing down. In fact, approximately 80 percent of retirees make post-retirement career transitions and continue to work either part time or full time in more satisfying careers or volunteer positions. Learn more about the evolving role of retirement by enrolling in the three-unit CRLP 70.10W: Redefining Retirement course. The course is taught online with options for in-person counseling.

“Designed for students who are age 40–65 and are beginning to think about retirement, the class will help you learn more about yourself, your finances and your interests,” says Foothill Counselor Sandi Urabe. “You’ll also examine the type of lifestyle you want when you retire; what it will be like to live with your spouse 24 hours a day; how much money you’ll need to finance your retirement; and numerous other topics. The course is also ideal for adult children of aging parents.”

This course meets UC Arts & Humanities transfer requirements (IGETC) and CSU Area C-1 Arts general education requirements; and Foothill’s multicultural and/or humanities requirement for the associate degree.
