Make the Most of Your Photos

Ideal for Digital or Traditional Photographers

Learn to take better photos and get the most out of your camera by enrolling in the new PHOT 5: Introduction to Photographic Expression course at Foothill. This three-unit class is ideal for both the digital photographer as well as the traditional photographer.

“Understanding the technical and aesthetic aspects of photography is our goal in this class. You can expect significant improvement in your images and in your ability to capture memorable photos,” says Photography Instructor Kate Jordahl.

This is a fun and fascinating, hands-on introduction to photography. The class covers everything from basic principles to the philosophies and practices of some of the world’s best photographers, all in a supportive environment that encourages the sharing of art and ideas.

“I love sharing my joy of photography with new students. It’s so exciting to see their growth and enjoyment,” Jordahl says. Photography is an art form that allows everyone to be creative. I feel privileged to be part of the process of helping students feel comfortable with their cameras and express their ideas through photography.”

An instructor at Foothill since 1997, Jordahl is an accomplished photographer who exhibits nationally and internationally, and has work in many collections, including Yosemite Museum and the Bibliothéque National de France. For registration instructions, access www.foothillcollege.org or call (650) 949-7325.
