Bruce Tambling

The Foothill Music Department is proud to welcome our newest full time faculty member, Bruce Tambling. Mr. Tambling holds the highest level Certifications from Digidesign (Expert in Music, Expert in Post) and was the first person in the world to achieve a Pro Tools Expert Instructor Certification. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology from Charter Oak State College, a Music Production and Technology Master Certificate from the Berklee College of Music and is pursuing his Master of Science in Music Technology at Indiana University. Proir to coming to Foothill as an adjunct Professor in Music Technology in 2004, he taught at Santa Clara University, AudioMe in San Francisco, Cogswell Polytechnical College, The Career Connection in Hollywood, and was the Founder, President and Chief Instructor at Future Rhythm, LLC, the largest Digidesign Authorized Pro School and Apple Training Center in Northern California.

Mr. Tambling has engineered and produced recording projects for Motown, Sony, MCA, BMG, Atlantic, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, CNN, NBC, CBS, HBO, MTV, Time-Life, and Turner Broadcasting, and many others. His list of engineering and production artist credits reads like a who's who of the music industry - The Miles Davis Band, Quincy Jones, Madonna, Gloria Estefan, Santana, The Stevie Wonder Band, The Chick Corea Band, Boyz-II-Men, Todd Rundgren, Sammy Hagar, The Doobie Brothers, Jefferson Starship, Tower of Power, Journey, Huey Lewis and the News, The San Francisco Symphony, etc.

Mr. Tambling brings an unparralleled wealth of professional experience to our Music Technology Program - his awards in the field of audio engineering include several Gold Records, Best TV Commercial, Best Soundtrack, Bammies and many others.
