This information is current for the academic year 2007-2008

This page is for students completing their degree online - on campus degree candidates click here

Students earning a degree or certificate online may use our IDEA Center to complete their work, but need to schedule time just as on-campus students do. If the online student wishes to set up a workspace at home, they need the following hardware/software:

• Broadband Internet Connection (like cable, DSL, T1 - if you are not sure about this, contact us at the email below and we can advise you)
• An FTP client (FTP software) click here for a tutorial.
• A master keyboard controller (if you are not sure about this, contact us at the email below and we can advise you)
• The most current version of Digidesign Pro Tools® (we strongly recommend a version using an M-Box or higher as we do not have any tech. capabilities for M-Powered systems)
• The most current version of Reason®
• Final Cut Studio or an equivalent PC video program (we recommend Avid®)
• A good quality audio monitoring system
• microphones and peripherals as needed

Again, if you need advise, just email us!

Online General Ed. Classes and requirements can be found here

With this plan, you finish the core courses and electives by the end of Fall Quarter, year 2. That leaves 2 quarters to pursue the rest of your academic requirements and engage in any special projects you might like to undertake. Since you will have been completely trained in the use of the studio, etc., this is an ideal time to start a recording project, video, etc. Also, if you take a quarter off, or don't finish a course, you have plenty of "breathing room" to retake classes or clean up whatever is undone.

If you decide to take Summer classes, this schedule can be accelerated!

If you are a student seeking academic study, and have no need for a degree or certificate, you can view our current schedule by clicking on the "current class schedule" link above. Ready to enroll? You can enroll online by clicking on the "register for classes" link above.
