The Language Arts Lab offers self-paced, individualized text-based and computerized materials designed to help students develop and improve a variety of language skills. Students enrolled in most English, ESL, and foreign language courses are able to use these materials without registering for an additional course.
For students not enrolled in English, ESL, and foreign language courses, the same materials are available as one-unit courses, listed as Academic Skills courses in the catalogue and schedule of classes. Students can enroll in these classes at any time through the 8th week of the quarter.
The lab also provides 25 PCs, 30 Power Macintosh computers, printers, and Internet access for drop in use.
