FOOTHILL WRITERS' CONFERENCE

Now in its 33rd year, the Foothill Writers' Conference continues its tradition of bringing literary arts mentorship and cultural enhancement to the Foothill College community and the San Francisco Bay Area.
The 2009 conference will offer seminars, workshops, and readings in fiction, poetry, and nonfiction; this year the conference will also include a screenwriting component for those interested in writing for television or film.
The conference is pleased to welcome Jane Ciabattari to the list of presenters.

ALL CONFERENCE EVENTS ARE
ONLY $53.00 FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS.
Visitor parking is $2.00 per day;
daily permits are available from the machines in the parking lots.

12:00 - 1:30 and 5:30 - 7:00 each day.
Workshops and Seminars
1:45 - 3:15 and 3:30 - 5:00 each day.

Manuscript Workshops
During the conference participants may have their creative pieces critiqued in workshops; please bring 10 copies of your work. Students should bring no more than two pages of poetry or five pages of fiction. Sign-up sheets will be available the first day of the conference - sign up early as workshops are limited to seven students for fiction workshops and ten students for poetry workshops.
We have decided this year to begin booking manuscript workshops in advance. Please review the attached schedule of events and email svetichkella@foothill.edu to reserve your space in workshops.
