This is a unique initiative that matches students majoring in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) fields with internships at local universities and private companies. This is the fifth year the internship program has helped students gain real world experience in laboratories to conduct cutting-edge research in various fields of science, as well as make connections with scientists and industry officials.
8-12 weeks of professional mentoring and hands-on experience at a Bay Area Science Research Institution or Technology Company
This multi-disciplinary program will be recruiting from the STEM sciences, with special focus on the following majors:

Timeline of Summer 2016 STEM Internship Process
Application Deadline: February 15th, 2016
Acceptance Notification Begins: March 15th, 2016
Priority will be given to NSF/SLI Scholarship recipients, under-represented groups of students in STEM, women and students from low income families.
WHEN: Starts June 27 2015, Monday – Friday. Research program durations may vary.
WHERE: Foothill College and one partner institution: San Jose State University, UC San Francisco, UC Santa Cruz, Stanford University, and Start-ups.
SCHOLARSHIP: Up to $2,000 for the duration of the program
COLLEGE CREDIT: Must enroll in ITRN 051.02 course in the Summer 2016
