Foothill College is a California public community college offering the first two years of college/university study for the bachelor's degree. Since opening in 1958, Foothill College has emerged as one of the outstanding community colleges in the United States. Classes are small: the average class size is 30-35 students, allowing for a lot of personal attention from the faculty. We are nationally accredited and offer over 70 transfer programs and 30 career programs. Our tuition is inexpensive, costing around $5,000 per year.
Our success is confirmed by a strong record of student success: of all the international students who complete their first two years at Foothill, most successfully transfer into their third year (as juniors) at one of the world-class public or private universities in California. Some transfer to top institutions across the United States. Every year, our international students transfer to many excellent universities. In fact, some of our students have transferred to schools such as UC Berkeley, UCLA, Harvard, Stanford, Georgetown and many other outstanding schools.
