New Student Arrival: Field Trips
After each orientation, new international students are invited to attend a one-day field trip to a local point of interest. These field trips provide you with an extremely affordable and exciting way to see parts of the magnificent San Francisco Bay Area while meeting other new students and office staff.
Most trips cost only $10! This price includes transportation, a snack, and admission to parks, amusement parks, or other venues. To maintain reasonable costs, you are asked to bring your own lunch and money for souvenirs or entertainment.

Spring 2008: Año Nuevo and Santa Cruz
This spring we took a trip to the beach! Starting at Año Nuevo State Reserve near Pescadero, we saw baby elephant seals and experienced California's central coast. After the educational outing we had some fun at the famous Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz.
Winter 2008: San Francisco
New students went on an adventure to San Francisco! We saw the beautiful panorama at Twin Peaks, traveled to the Golden Gate Bridge and explored Fisherman's Wharf. After Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, we took a ride on the cable car to Union Square, where we saw festive Christmas decorations, went shopping and visited Chinatown.
Fall 2007: Monterey and Carmel
More than fifty students traveled to historic and quaint Carmel-by-the-Sea and Monterey on the Pacific coast. While we missed seeing Clint Eastwood, actor and a former mayor, we got to see a great white shark while visiting the world-famous Monterey Bay Aquarium on Cannery Row.
