Foothill College has a long history of educating international students, and its graduates hail from many diverse corners of the world, from Tonga and Ivory Coast to Kyrgyzstan, Nepal and Latvia. We are fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. According to Open Doors, a report published by the Institute of International Education, Foothill is currently ranked # 11 for enrolling the highest number of international students out of all the associate degree-granting institutions in the United States. Our diverse international student population is comprised of about 1,200 students from over 100 countries. The International Programs Office caters specifically to international students on F-1 visas. We provide counseling and assistance to more than 700 students from over 70 different countries. If you hold a visa other than F-1 (for example, J-1 or H1-B), or if you are a U.S. Citizen or have a Permanent Resident status (green card), you need to follow specific instructions for admission and to maintain your status in the U.S.
