Etudes Login Instructions

If your instructor uses Etudes to deliver your online course and you are officially registered, you will be able to login or access your course, starting on the first day of the quarter.

Once you know your User ID and Password,
you are ready to login at the Etudes Gateway:

https://myetudes.org/portal

To figure out your Etudes User ID and Password, click on your answer to the following question:

Have you taken any Etudes courses before?

No
I don't know
I know my User ID and Password but I still can't login

Yes, I am a Continuing Etudes User

If you have taken an Etudes courses before, then your User ID and Password are the same as you used the last time you logged in! We don't reset them.

If you have forgotten your User ID or Password, try following the instructions listed for New Etudes Users or request to Reset Password.

If you were able to login to Etudes prior to Winter 2010 but can't now, check to make sure that your browser is accepting cookies for the new Etudes Web address: https://myetudes.org/portal/

No, I am a New Etudes User

If you have never taken Etudes courses before, then you are a NEW user of Etudes. Use the directions below to figure out your Etudes User ID and password.

Your User ID

the first 2 letters of your first name +
the first 2 letters of your last name +
the last 5 digits of your Student Identification Number (SID)

Do NOT use your Social Security Number (SSN)!

Example: Gloria Chung's User ID would be glch45678 if she had a Student Identification Number (SID) of 123-45-678

Your Password

MonthDay of your birth as listed in the Foothill College records

Example: If your birthday is April 22, 1991 (04/22/91), then your Password = 0422. The Month+Day value is always 4-digits (mmdd) where a single digit day or month starts with a zero.

I Don't Know

If you don't know whether or not you have already taken any Etudes courses, then try following the instructions listed above for New Etudes Users.

If that doesn't work, please contact our Student Help Center or call us at (650) 949-7446. If you don't know your Student Identification Number (SID), you can find it from the Foothill Registration system or click on Registration Help.

Troubleshooting Tips

If you have any trouble logging in, be sure to check the System Requirements. The Etudes Gateway has buttons on the leftside of the screen where you can check on System Requirements, get Login Help, or Reset Password.
