Lab Policies
The CTIS division computer labs are exclusively reserved for students enrolled in a CTIS class. Any student at Foothill is allowed to use our computers however you do not have access to the printing facilities.
Students are not allowed to install software on our machines. Only CTIS staff have the permissions required to install software.
Food and drink (even water) is not allowed in the labs. Cell phone use in the labs/classrooms is prohibited. It is rude and disruptive to fellow students. Turn the volume of your ringer down prior to entering the labs, and if you need to use your phone, take it outside.
Only registered students of Foothill College are allowed into the lab facilities. Thus, young children are not allowed to use the lab facilities while you are taking classes. Children found unattended will be immediately turned over to the campus police.
Yes, please contact Michael Almasi at almasiMichael@foothill.edu. Please provide your full name and the class you are teaching. You also must supply the Ethernet MAC address of your computer in order to configure the server to supply you with an IP address.
General Information
Yes, we store items in the administrative areas of the labs. Items are periodically taken to the campus police. If an item is deemed valuable, that item is immediately turned over to the campus police. You may call the labs to find out if we are holding the item.
Students are allowed to use their laptop computers and connect them to power supplies. However, at this time, you are not able to connect to our network. Currently, there are technical reasons for this, but in the future we do plan on allowing you connection to our network.
See the software available page which details what we offer and where.
The MatLab program can be found in the Computer lab.
