Each quarter the Career Center offers a series of workshops. The current quarter workshop (pdf) schedule is available the first week of each quarter from the Career Center.

The Career Focus speakers series, sponsored by Palo Alto University's Business Psychology Bachelor's Program in partnership with Foothill College Career Center, features industry professionals providing informative discussions, personal experiences, and practical advice. The Career Center focuses on helping students choose a major as well as preparing them to enter the work force. By attending Career Focus presentations, you'll gain new insight into the real world of work, learn the pros and cons about a particular career, and make educated decisions about entering a profession or obtaining further education.

Career Focus Series Date: Thursday, April 18th Time: 12:00noon - 12:45pm Location: Room 3303	Career Focus: Writing a winning resume Learn: Michele Caplette is an experienced career planning coach and consultant to leaders and organizations. She has more than 20 years experience in designing and facilitating leadership and change management programs and in coaching executives and managers in their leadership and career success. Michele has worked with a wide range of companies including SunPower, Nvidia, Kaiser Permanente, National Semiconductor, and Lockheed-Martin. Michele earned a Ph.D. in Sociology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She has written several articles on leadership development and teams. FREE PIZZA
Career Focus Series Date: Thursday, May 9th Time: 12noon - 12:45pm Location: Career Center, #3303	Career Focus: Career in Psychology Dr. Tazeau received her Ph.D. from Palo Alto University's Pacific Graduate School of Psychology. She provides business psychology services through her management consultancy, ynt consulting, where she helps organizations with issues related to workforce planning, training and development, team building, competency modeling, leadership development, and coaching. She also provides neuropsychology and psychotherapy services through her clinical psychology practice. Recently, Dr. Tazeau founded a behavioral sciences-based mobile technology consulting company, TikalBayTek, Inc., for the creation of apps for health, education, and learning organizations.
