Mr. Leroy Martin joined the BSS faculty in the Fall, 2002, to teach our SOC 011.01 class, Introduction to Human Services. Mr. Martin, a graduate of San Diego State University, brings 36 years of experience in Social Services to his classroom teaching. Most notably, Mr. Martin is newly retired from the position of Director of the Department of Family and Children's Services of the Santa Clara County Social Service Agency. While there, his department received repeated national recognition for their innovative, positive, and family-inclusive programs assisting Santa Clara families. Previously, Mr. Martin was Assistant Deputy Director of the Department of Social Services Children's Service Bureau in San Diego, CA. He is an adjunct member of the faculty at San Jose State University's College of Social Work.We welcome Mr. Martin to our faculty and encourage Foothill students to benefit from his instruction, long and successful experiences, and guidance.
