To enter the Veterinary Technology Program, students must fulfill the following prerequisites:
- Completion of VT 51, Introduction to Veterinary Technology, with a grade of "C" or better (offered only at Foothill College in the Fall and Spring Quarters).
- High School graduation or a valid G.E.D.
- High School Algebra or Math 101 or Score 25+ on Elementary Algebra Placement Test.
- High School General Biology or Biology 10.
- High School General Chemistry (recommended, not required).
- Eligibility for ESL 25 or ENGL 110.
In addition to the above requirements, a valid Adult CPR certificate is required at time of graduation.
