man at desk Director's Desk: How to apply to the Veterinary Technology Program In Addition to Applying to the Program, You Must Also Apply to Foothill College: How to Apply to Foothill College and Register for Classes

Complete all minimum prerequisites.

Applications into the two year program are available from the Biology and Allied Health Division office, or can be downloaded and printed from this site. Applications are available November 1st each year. The deadline for submission of applications is June 1st.

Verification of qualifications will occur and applicants will be notified of their status by mail.

Eligibility determination and permission to enroll in the Veterinary Technology (VT) Program courses is based on satisfactory completion of the minimum requirements.

Each year there are 40 positions available in the first year class. If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the maximum capacity of the program, selection will be based solely on the date and time the completed application packet is received.

Unregistered Veterinary Assistants seeking State Board Exam eligibility by the "Alternate Route" may enroll part-time in program courses with the permission of the Program Director.

*It is the professional judgment of the faculty that a student's ability to succeed in the two-year program is in large part dependent upon possessing certain knowledge, skills, and abilities prior to undertaking the VT curriculum. The student is strongly advised to complete the majority of the General Education Requirements before attempting the program. Contact the program director for further guidance.
