- Please follow application instructions carefully, by enclosing ALL documentation (transcripts, petitions, etc.) in ONE envelope with the current 2009 Dental Hygiene application.
- ADVISORY NOTE: Please read the program application carefully, as important changes have been made for the 2009 application year!
Minimum Prerequisites
- Prerequisites must be completed prior to the application deadline of the year you are applying. The following prerequisites must be successfully completed with a grade C or better:
- High School graduation or equivalent
- High School or college Biology course (Biology 10) or other equivalent Biology course
- Chemistry 30A and Chemistry 30B
- Allied Health 200 (AHS 200)
- Dental Hygiene 200L (Waiver of DH 200L can be obtained only by possessing a current and active California RDAEF license Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions)
- Minimum college grade-point average of 2.5 or better
- Minimum grade-point average of 2.75 for required science courses
- Compliance with the technical standards
You must complete the above prerequisites before you send an application.
Dental Hygiene 200L waiver can be obtained by possession of a current and active California RDAEF license (Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions). Prerequisites must be completed by the end of Fall Quarter of the previous year of application.
