Foothill College Women’s Intercollegiate Tennis

About Our Tennis Program: Student-athletes may play two years of competitive tennis while maintaining full-time student status (actively enrolled in twelve units of which 3.0 units must be HP35E intercollegiate women's tennis both winter quarter and spring quarter) and a 2.0 GPA.


2007 Season Recap
Congratulations to the 2007-2008 Foothill Women's Tennis Team!! The team finished 3rd in Coast Conference and 4th in Northern California; first year player, Kunkanda Phukchampa, completed the regular season undefeated in singles and finished 1st in Conference Championship and 1st in Northern California Championships. Second year player Cheryl Sundheim qualified for Nor-Cal Championships in both singles and doubles; first year players Hagar Memlis, Alenka Dernerova and Lynne Stark qualified for Nor-Cal doubles. The 2007-2008 team was also nominated for State Academic-Athletic team of the year earning a team average GPA 3.6 during the competitive season.

GOOD LUCK TO KUNKANDA PHUKCHAMPA at State Championships May 8 - 10, 2008 in Long Beach.

Winter - Spring 2008 First Meeting January 7th at 2pm at courts.


Women's Team Practice Schedule:

• Fall Quarter 2007
• New players must contact coach Giannetto prior to participation
• Wednesday Sept 19, 26, Oct 3, 10
• Meet at Tennis Courts at 1:00pm

Pre-season Practice Team: Our pre-season practice will be held January - February 2008, 2009 and 2010 and competitive season will begin late February until second week in May. Players may be required to play competitive matches during spring break.
