Assistant Coach - Simon Peake
Simon Peake begins his third season as the assistant coach for the men's soccer team. During his tenure, he has helped Foothill establish itself as one of the highest-scoring teams in California.
Simon joined Foothill after a successful head-coaching job at the California Academy of Math and Science, where he helped establish the team in their new division and challenge for the playoffs within two years.
As a player, Simon belonged to one of the best youth teams in Scotland, winning many championships and also representing regional select teams. Subsequently, Simon was picked up by a professional club's youth academy and played for two more years before heading to college.
At the age of 19, he relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area to attend Foothill College, where he played on the school's soccer team for two years before returning to Scotland. While at Foothill, he scored 14 times, playing as a forward and also played as a sweeper as part of a defense that only let in two goals in its last six games.
Simon earned his B.S in Kinesiology from California State University at Dominguez Hills and also holds a UEFA B Licence and the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.
In addition to his responsibilities at Foothill College, Simon coaches youth teams in the area for Palo Alto Soccer Club and MVLA, and, since 2001, has been a regular coach at both Stanford University and UC Berkeley Summer Soccer Camps.
