Assistant Coach - Simon Peake
Simon was born and raised in Scotland. As a young player, he belonged for six years to the club team Inverkeithing United. During his tenure, this team ranked alongside the other most elite clubs in Eastern Central Scotland. Subsequently, Simon went on to join one of the most successful professional youth development academies in the East of Scotland.
At the age of 19, he relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area to attend Foothill College, where he played on the school's soccer team for two years before returning to Scotland. Simon spent the following year developing his coaching skills and studying with the Scottish Football Association. He eventually went on to acquire his UEFA B License, and, since 2001, has been a regular coach at both Stanford University and Cal Berkeley Summer Soccer Camps.
In 2004, Simon moved back to California, this time to Long Beach, to complete his B.S. in Kinesiology. Whilst studying, Simon was the Boys Varsity Head Coach at a local high school and within two years had established his team as playoff candidates in their new division.
In addition to his responsibilities at Foothill College, Simon coaches youth teams in Woodside and Portola Valley for Alpine FC.
