Collin Pregliasco - Head Coach.

Collin PregliascoOn September 24, 2007 Foothill College Director of Athletics Sue Gatlin announced the hire of Collin Pregliasco as the new softball coach.  The hire of Collin instantly makes Foothill College a highly competitive program.  His innovative coaching style along with his aggressive offensive and defensive approach to the game should bring Foothill much success in the coming years.

Collin’s vision for the Foothill softball program is to grow and become of the top programs in the state both athletically and academically.  He wants to create a program full of tradition and pride, where players take honor wearing the Foothill uniform.  Collin seeks players who are highly dedicated and committed and have fun playing and learning the sport of softball.

“This truly is a dream job.  There is no other college I would rather be coaching at.”  Both athletically and academically, Foothill College is second to none.  With the great support of the college and athletic department, the sky is the limit for our program.”

Collin is a graduate of San Jose State University where he attained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Child and Adolescent Development in 2001 and 2004  He is currently in the process of attaining his Master’s degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Coaching.

Collin and his wife Jamie, both graduates of Leigh High School, reside in San Jose just blocks from where they both grew up.

Assistant Coaches

Roxanne Bejarano – Assistant CoachRoxanne Bejarano – Assistant Coach
Roxanne joins the Foothill coaching staff after a prestigious college playing career at San Jose State University and Phoenix Community College in Arizona. 

A two-time Western Athletic Conference All-Academic Award winner, Roxanne finished her SJSU career with a career ERA of 2.96 while starting 47 games with 2 shutouts and 4 saves.  Roxanne pitched a total of 313.1 innings with a strikeout to walk ratio of 3.36/1.  In 2007 she ranked high in numerous WAC pitching categories including 4th in innings pitched per game with 5.33, 6th in strikeouts per game with 5.82, and 4th in ERA of 2.50. 

Before San Jose State, Roxanne starred at Phoenix Community College in Arizona.  There she was a two-time NJCAA National Champion while playing under head coach Heinz Mueller.  Her career at Phoenix consisted of a 49-7 record with a 1.18 ERA.  She was named First Team ACCAC ALL-Conference and First Team NJCAA All-Region for both seasons.  In addition, Roxanne earned First Team NJCAA All-American honors as a freshmen and Second Team honors as a sophomore. 

In high school, Roxanne lettered all four years in softball under head coach Rachel Motes at Thatcher High School in Arizona.  She was named First Team All-State in 2003 and 2004, earned First Team All-Region and First Team All-Conference in 2001-2004.  She was a member of the 2002 and 2003 2A State Championship team.  A versatile athlete, Roxanne also won state championships in volleyball in 2003 and basketball in 2003 and 2004.

Roxanne looks to begin her coaching career, eager to share with others the game of softball.  She hopes to pass on the knowledge she gained throughout her softball career, and to help those who want to learn more about the game.  Roxanne wants to show her players all that they can gain through hard work and determination. 

A native of Safford, AZ, Roxanne earned a B.A. in Health Science and minor in Kinesiology from San Jose State University.  She is the daughter of Diana and Greg Bejarano.


Randi Gillespie – Assistant CoachRandi Gillespie – Assistant Coach
Randi begins her first year as an assistant coach with Foothill Community College after an illustrious softball career at Long Island University in New York.

A two-time Easton All-American and two-time Northeast Conference Player of the Year, Gillespie is the LIU's all-time leading home run leader and is tied for the career hits record despite playing at the school for only three seasons.

Gillespie began her softball career at West Valley Community College, where she was named a third team All-American at first base. From there, the San Jose native transferred to Long Island where she helped the Blackbirds win two Northeast Conference tournaments and back-to-back berths to the NCAA tournament in 2006 and 2007.

As a sophomore, Gillespie earned All-NEC First Team honors as an outfielder after hitting .349 with eight home runs and 31 runs batted in. In 2006, Gillespie led NEC in home runs with 11 while also hitting a team-best .364 en route to her first Player of the Year award.

In 2007, Gillespie had a career year as she led the Blackbirds to their second straight NCAA Tournament and to their first win in the 64-team field since 1999 over Colgate. She established a new single-season records for batting average (.443), hits (81), runs scored (54), doubles (16) and total bases (124) and led Long Island to 34 wins for the second consecutive year.

Gillespie graduated with a degree in Health Science from Long Island University in 2007 and currently resides in San Jose, CA.
