Foothill College Women's Basketball Program

Assistant Coaches, Trainers and Staff

Assistant Coach: Anthony Cooper

Anthony Cooper, now in his eighth year as the first assistant for Foothill, brings a strong defensive background and philosophy to the Owls. As part of 7 consecutive league titles, “Coach Coop” has become a recognizable face around the local area. Coop also helps run the Foothill’s off-season programs and is instrumental in the recruiting process of prospective athletes. As an alumni of Foothill, Anthony went on to a career in accounting after earning his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from Phoenix. Anthony was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey and currently lives where he raised his family in San Jose.

Anthony’s other recent coaching experience includes assistant coaching positions at Cal State Hayward, Patton College and at Mt. Eden High School in Hayward (2000). Anthony’s strong defensive background fits well with Coach Craig’s stifling defensive philosophy.
