Meet the Coach: Shanan Rosenberg, UC Davis '94, CSU, Chico '99
 A Physical Education graduate from UC Davis, seventh-year Foothill Basketball coach Shanan Rosenberg has seen success throughout his career. Early successes began as a student-athlete at St. Francis High School where he contributed to a CCS Championship in 1988. He then continued his career as a student-athlete at UC Davis where he was named to the All-NCAC team during his junior and senior season.
After taking over a Foothill program that did not exist in '01-'02, Coach Rosenberg and staff have resurrected the Men's program. Most recently finishing the '07-08 season 19-13 with a #7 ranking in Northern California and a #13 ranking in the State. The Owls compete in the Coast North Conference - One of the State's premier conferences. Foothill's record since '02-03:

Since taking the helm for Foothill Coach Rosenberg has transferred all of his sophomores- many of whom earned athletic scholarships (See Former Players).
As an assistant coach at Canada College for 3.5 years he helped them earn the highest winning percentage in the state (104-20). During his experience at Canada Shanan recruited and developed 2 JC All-Americans, worked with teams that won 2 Coast conference championships and 1 Final Four appearance.
Coach Rosenberg then went on to serve as a graduate assistant coach at California State University at Chico during the '98-'99 season. He earned a Master of Arts degree with Distinction in Physical Education while coaching and serving as a undergraduate teaching asistant.
In his first season as an assistant at Lewis & Clark College under Head Coach Bob Gaillard, he helped lead them to the Northwest conference championship and a trip to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tourney where they finished #21 in country. During the 00-01 season the team improved under Rosenberg advancing to thesweet sixteen, and finishing with a #13 ranking. The 01-02 saw more improvement winning the conference championship, conference tournament, and advancing to the elite eight in NCAA's, finishing with #7 national ranking.
Even more impressive than his success on the floor is his 100% graduation rate of all players at all institutions he has been involved with to date.
Coach Rosenberg has spent the past 11 years as the Director of Operations for the Legarza Basketball Camp - the largest youth camp in the state.
