Assistant Coach - Matt Stanley

Second-year assistant coach Matt Stanley brings a myriad of experience and knowledge to the Foothill Program. Matt played two years at Shasta College, winning the Golden Valley Conference Championship in 2000-01. He then transferred to Lewis & Clark College where helped the Pioneers to a NWC Conference Championship and a NCAA Elite Eight appearance. After attaining a B.A in Economics from Lewis & Clark, Coach Stanley returned to his hometown of Chico, CA to serve as a Graduate Assistant at Chico State. Chico State advanced to the NCAA Regionals in 2003-04, 04-05. Coach Stanley completed his M.A. in Physical Education at Chico State and then took an assistant coaching position at The University of Nevada- Reno. In 2005-06 the Wolfpack won the WAC Championship and made the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year. In 2006-07 Coach Stanley joined the Foothill staff. Coach Stanley resides with his wife Ashley in Sunnyvale.

Assistant Coach - Larry Lumpkins

Coach Lumpkins is a graduate of Northwestern University,where he played basketball in the Big Ten Conference during 1978-1980. He began his college career at Santa Rosa Junior College where he helped his team win the Conference Championship both years. Lumpkins was a JC All American his sophomore season at Santa Rosa under Coach Bill Trumbo. He has been active in youth basketball coaching on the Peninsula for the last 10 years . He is a partner in a real estate company in Redwood City and lives on the Peninsula with his wife, Sue and their 3 children.

Manager - Champ Peterson

Champ rejoins the Owls for his second year as team manager. Champ is an integral part of the Owls daily practices and team management. He brings an extraordinary positive attitude and spirit to our program. Champ is a graduate of Palo Alto High School.
