Laurie Horton
Laurie was born and raised in San Jose, CA. She attended Leigh High School and was graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She accomplished her degree while playing Division II soccer. Laurie spent five years away from a college campus as she lived in Vail, CO and worked as a ski instructor during the winter months while traveling the world during the summers. She returned to the Bay Area in 1998 and worked as the Student Activities Coordinator at West Valley College. In addition to her job, Laurie attended San Jose State University full-time and received her Master's in Counselor Education in December, 1999.

Laurie joined the Foothill Athletics Department as a part-time counselor during the Spring Quarter of 2000 (she is also a part-time counselor at WVC). Being a former college athlete herself, Lauire understands the challenges that student athletes face and it is her passion to help every student athlete to reach their potential both on and off the field.
